Through technology, stress and an abundant of environmental noise, it has become harder and harder for us to relax as a culture. Replacing the day-to-day noise with more pleasant sound energies can help calm and rejuvenate us. This is why the art of sound healing is becoming more of an accepted alternative to traditional methods of dealing with stress and disease. So what is sound healing and what are the instruments used?

What is Sound Healing?

Sound healing is a method of producing vibrational frequencies that have a calming and meditative impact on our minds, bodies and spirits. Sound healing has been practiced by ancient cultures around the world since the beginning of time. Modern day science has now validated the healing properties that certain sound frequencies have on your health. Sound healers use a variety of earth tone instruments including Didgeridoos, drums, gongs, harps, rain sticks, crystal singing bowls, tuning forks, wind chimes and the human voice to perform sound healing treatments.

Autumn Equinox: A Season of Harvest

Throughout history, Fall Equinox has been regarded as the season of harvest; a time to collect that which was planted, nurtured and grown through the fertile spring and summer months. Bagua Center gathers once again to share the fruits of our learning with you through our practitioners at this spectacular event.

As the journey of the sun transitions into Libra (in the Northern Hemisphere), this day marks the tipping of the scales of day and night. Some cultures and translations interpret the mark of longer nights as shadows & darkness; however, we must honor the balance of light and dark, as the scale of Libra foretells.

Inner Transformation & Loving Your Shadows

During Bagua Center’s Autumn Equinox : Inner Transformation – we celebrate as one the obstacles we overcame, the new ways of thinking we adopted, our harvest. As the length of the nights grows, with our new, awakened state of being, we accept and welcome shadows as a part of the whole, learning love and embrace the shadows of ourselves that we too once deemed as dark. Let the contrast of the night brighten the light; let our shadows be used for self acceptance for every aspect of ourselves, let the true inner transformation be whole in sum of all its parts.

The Celebration

On September 22nd, 2016 we will be gathering at Casa de Bagua for this outdoor gathering. Come one and come all as we celebrate all that we have cultivated together; each practitioner in our lineup will share profound knowledge & healing, so that you may flow into the next phase of your journey with love & acceptance, with our love by your side. With each song, with each guided meditation, with each dance we delve deep into Inner Transformation, to root you deep into your heart for your next quest.
