Monica Fuquen is a renowned sound therapist, activist, Latin Grammy nominee and a pioneer of soul chanting in Latin America. She also holds healing and transformation spaces with her “Sounds of the Soul” and “The Sound of the Inner Voice” workshops.
Her mission is to help individuals, through various modalities, find their unique voice and truth. In finding harmony and peace within themselves it, in turn, contributes to the well-being of the whole.
A lawyer by profession, Monica had always felt a call to serve, which in the corporate and political environments she worked was not easy to fully answer. This usually left her depressed and out of tune with herself.
After a transformative experience with Iranian/Canadian Abdy Electriciteh, when her Sounds of the Soul flowed through her for the first time, she awakened to the gifts her own voice could bring to herself and to humanity.
Since then, Monica has already produced three albums: Sonido del Alma (2011), Esferas de Creación (2013), which earned her first Latin Grammy nomination, and Volver Al Amor (2016), for which she has received great recognition and messages of gratitude from people all over the world.
Her individual and group sessions, as well as her therapeutic concerts, have helped people to activate their creative genius and to bring out the power of their own inner voices.
She has traveled all over the world, to countries such as Colombia, United States, Israel, French Polynesia, Iceland, Costa Rica, and India, accompanying Abdy Electriciteh in his sessions of energy activation and gatherings.
Monica has devoted herself to create and produce several peace-building initiatives, such as in Bogotá, Colombia, the two editions of the Luz y Armonía Music Festival, which is a full-day experience of spiritual music, activations and artistic expressions geared towards human growth and development.
In the radio show, Sonido del Alma, currently playing on www.positivoextremoradio.com which is hosted by her, her husband, Alvaro Pardo, and her friend and producer of her third album, Pablo Tedeschi, Monica interviews people with a message of transformation to be shared with others.
